Overdose 3.0

Within the series OVERDOSE 3.0, Daniel Voelker refers to the flood of images in which we swim each day. He coquets with the dominance of the visual by “delivering” the viewer an overdose of colors, shapes and impressions.Erotic photographs serve as a basis for OVERDOSE 3.0. Daniel Voelker optimises their colors and superimposes several dozen shots in a certain arrangement. Through the layering of the individual motifs, various image levels and views, new image details emerge while simultaneously obscuring the original photographs, so that these remain only shadowy, if recognisable at all. This creates an impression of spatiality and complex visual depth.OVERDOSE 3.0 is the final stage of the evolution of OVERDOSE and OVERDOSE 2.0, which are the predecessors of this body of work.
